Eye for Cars is a website devoted to the appreciation of automobile design. Here you will find a daily dose of thoughtful opinion, analysis, links, and an occasional bit of news about car design.

Why Eye for Cars?

Some of my earliest memories are of my dad pointing out different cars to me. I remember a specific moment as a child when I decided that I would study and learn the designs of cars so that I could engage with my father in discussions on this topic, for which he always had a great deal of energy and enthusiasm. Ever since that fateful day, the design of automobiles has held a prominent place in my mind and heart. It is a severe affliction and one that I have chosen to share with the world here on Eye for Cars.

Who is Eye for Cars?

Eye for Cars is written by me, Rick Muñoz. I am a interaction designer by profession, but as noted above, I have been a enthusiast of automobile design since I was a small child. I constantly read about cars, attend car-focused events, discuss cars with my father and uncle, and friends, and essentially cars are on my mind a lot.

All of this knowledge, passion, and excitement (or frustration) about car design needs an outlet, and Eye for Cars is just that. It has been several years in gestation, through millions of thoughts and moments of inspiration that have passed through my mind, but now I am finally getting down to the nitty gritty of doing it and putting it on the Intarwebs for all to enjoy. I hope to find an audience and provide elements of an ongoing conversation on the web.
